As I mentioned in my recent post
Echo Park - Two Gouaches, the paint out group would be returning to Echo Park lake soon. We did, and it was a beautiful day. On a Saturday the park was very busy with picnickers, walkers, and dog walkers. I sat on a grassy area near the boathouse and painted a small watercolor of the neighborhood to the north. As it got closer to noon it looked like areas were being set up for parties. Time for us to leave. The lake lotuses will be in bloom in June and July so we'll be returning to the park again.
